Yoga in the Park sponsored by the Blue Moose

In an effort to promote a Healthy and Fit East Grand Forks the Parks and Recreation department has created a new "Yoga in the Park" activity for our residents to enjoy a group exercise outdoors during our beautiful summer months.

Our initial plan is to offer three different dates for people to have a chance to get familiar with yoga and an outdoor exercise group.  We held sessions in July and August and will have our third and final session for the year on September 20th.  Our goal is to offer this activity on a full time basis in the upcoming summers.  There is no cost to participants for our initial three classes.

Our last day for Yoga in the Park is Wednesday, September 20th from 6:30pm - 7:30pm.  The group will meet outside of the Red River State Recreation Area Office at 6:30pm and then walk to some nearby green space in the campground for the yoga session.  We will have yoga mats for those that do not have their own.

Danielle Gregoire, local certified yoga trainer with Ganesha Yoga, will lead and instruct the group.  The activity is for men and women, boys and girls young and old.  The only requirement is that all participants register for the event prior to Tuesday, September 19th here on the Parks and Recreation website.

Please call our office with any questions, 218-773-8000.
